Year 6
Please encourage your child to self-mark their homework. Allowing pupils to self-mark their homework, where possible with the support of parents, encourages self-regulated learning, which enhances both motivation and academic outcomes. When students actively assess their own work, they engage in metacognitive processes such as reflection and self-monitoring, which helps them better understand their strengths and areas for improvement. Involving parents in this process can reinforce learning and foster a collaborative home-school dynamic, further improving students’ confidence and performance.
