Micro:bit Fun

This term the Year 6s started to use micro:bit software. A micro:bit is essentially a tiny programmable computer.

As part of the North America topic, Year 6 were tasked with creating an early warning earthquake alarm by writing a program that could detect changes in movement. Much fun and excitement was had by all and the children had the opportunity to build upon their future skill set. 

Then the children were given the opportunity to make an innovative earthquake proof skyscraper and put their designs to the test.
