School Mini Bus

Ocean Academy received a fantastic present on the last day of term…

Our Ocean Academy mini bus was originally bought for the school in 2016 from funds raised by the CPTA and it has been in regular use since it was delivered. A mini bus is vital for a school as it means that we can provide the children with a wealth of rich cultural and sporting experiences outside of the school grounds. The mini bus has also meant that we can commit to many sporting events in Dorset, as well as being able to take the children to their swimming lessons. Since Ocean Academy’s opening in 2015, our school has grown and has developed a fantastic sporting reputation (we now hold our 3rd GOLD School Games Quality Mark) thus we wanted to raise the profile of our Academy when we are out and about on visits. On INSET days it also takes the teachers around the South West Coast to meet up with other Aspirations Academies Trust schools to share best teaching practice.

Thus on the last day of term, we were delighted to receive the mini bus back from being ‘wrapped’. We think that it looks incredibly smart and matches with our school building and interior. Definitely a mini bus to be proud of! We can’t wait to get it out on the road!
